Key Responsibilities:
- This position will be a Hybrid position.
- Participate in the development and integration of technology solutions to improve patient outcomes and care efficiency.
- Configure, test, and maintain clinical applications for the organization's EHR and pharmacy systems.
- Work independently and collaboratively to manage programs and implement applications.
- Provide analytical, technical, and problem resolution support focusing on clinical information accessibility and usability.
- Advocate for informatics use among clinical staff and analyze data to discover trends that support patient-centered care.
- Assist clinicians by troubleshooting and identifying opportunities for system improvements.
- Design, build, and test clinical information systems, ensuring they promote current and future functionalities.
- Visualize and ensure the accuracy of metric extracts for clinical analyses.
- Train and support pharmacy and clinical staff on medication management systems and EHRs.
- Conduct team meetings to address clinical and technical gaps, and deliver well-organized presentations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy.
- Active Texas Board of Pharmacy License.
- 5-10 years of Pharmacy Informatics experience or completion of ASHP PGY1/2 Residency in Pharmacy Informatics.
- 5+ years of clinical healthcare experience in either inpatient or ambulatory settings.
- 3+ years of experience with pharmacy automation systems.
- Expertise in specific pharmacy systems and certifications in EHR systems (e.g., Epic Willow, PioneerRx).
- Certification in Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) is desirable.
- 2-3 years of project management experience.
- Competence in system problem-solving, HIPAA compliance, and customer service excellence.
- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Basic statistics and computer literacy to manage multiple deadlines.
- Desirable five years' experience in clinical workflows and a broad knowledge of interdependent clinical applications.
